in the kitchen...

last week i motored up to williamsburg to pick up some new glasses and accessories for the kitchen. we get all of our glassware from moon river chattel in williamsburg so as i was grabbing more juice cups i noticed these beautiful little dishes from mud australia. i was swayed by the rich olive and smooth cream colors. i immediately scooped them up and took them home to house my salt and pepper. there's something about teeny tiny dishes that fit right in your palm. and, the ultimate splurge (which i've been saving up for since christmas)- a le creuset pot in their gorgeous new "lemongrass" hue. so springy and happy.

I'm green with envy (ho ho)- I love those lemongrass Le Cresuset pots. In fact, I'm going a bit mad over anything in a lime shade at the moment.

Grace, You know why I like your blog? Because even though there are a lot of times where I (Spendy McSpenderton) recoil at the prices people are charging you chime in every now and then with how you had to save for a purchase and it makes me remember that you're one of us!

Hee, I have this Le Creuset... in the same exact color! My holiday work at Williams- Sonoma finally enabled me to afford one. My kitchen and living room both utilize the lime green color. Thank you for sharing your blog with the rest of the world.

I got those same cups a few months ago only in black and white and put my salt and pepper in them. I can't believe you have them now.

Beautiful things!
I've had such good luck over the years, finding ridiculously cheap le Creuset at car boot sales, but I do look forward to the day when I can afford to buy one fresh out of the box. A green one like yours would be a really fine prize!

I do like to support small stores/shops... but just a tip: For some reason Marshall's has the motherload of Le Creuset pots & etc. as of late.

I do concur: Moonriver in Billburg is a great place for all sorts of housewares and antique fixtures.
