fresh air + inspiration
i've always imagined that when i get married one day it will be on a farm with a reception inside a barn with great big paper lanterns. this weekend we drove to vermont for a wedding that pretty much had all of that- and a mariachi band (rock on). i always enjoy looking at wedding decorations so if you want to take a little peek at the ceremony and our weekend in putney and brattleboro, vt just click here for a little slideshow. vermont is just plain beautiful. [i loved the "emerson's" font below]

what a dream come true!
i lived/worked in brattleboro--right down the road from scott farms--for four years. beautiful pictures that brought back lots of memories. did you make it to the brattleboro farmer's market?
i was there, and it was one of the most beautiful weddings i've been to. every little detail was perfect and will be an event to remember always.

no way! did we meet? i had on a pink dress and black and white striped sweater...

I used to live in Brattleboro and Putney for years. I think I vaguely remember Alyssa Ettinger. And I often visit up there for fall foliage (there'a an annual craft fair at the Putney School). It's a very artsy area for such a small town.
i was there, too! what table were you at?
tom
i was at the first table in the middle row when you walked in. the name was some sort of apple?
i can't believe you were there- that's nuts! now i'm freaking out that someone from the site has seen me dance like a lunatic after too much champagne and what wells called "good old bcp" (boston cream pie) ;)

i was sitting next to sameer (the photographer) and was wearing a dark grey suit and black framed glasses. the other tom you may remember because he was wearing the seersucker suit.
and yes we are both named tom.
Grace!! The photos you took are beautful. Jill and I just arrived home and were greeted with excited emails from our friends and guests the "Toms" who saw the blog. It was wonderful having you and Aaron there. To answer the above question, the cake(s) were FANTASTIC and made by Amy at Amy's bakery on Main Street in Brattleboro.

*ac and i sat with one of the tom's in the seersucker suit. we were the "duck hunt" conversation card couple ;)
Barn weddings came up in a conversation this weekend with my bf's family. His brother and fiance were thinking about having one if they could find something near by and i remembered that you had this post up. came back to check the location and to see if anyone else might of commented on any other locations or ideas.
we're actually off to the Pac NW for a barn wedding in Chehalis, WA later this month. It's a beautiful red barn that a friend of mine runs with her husband on an organic farm. They are both wedding photographers and videographers as well. Thought to share a link to their blog and website for any readers that may be interested.
