lena wolff. lena's work is part of a
group show of works on paper by
lucrecia troncoso, valerie hammond and lena. based in san francisco, lena describes her work as being, "informed by an interest in folk art, a veneration for the natural world and fantasy. i love the way her work blurs the line between the real and surreal- each one of her pieces has a very other-worldly feel to it. you can view more of lena's work

These are very classical and beautiful. I wish they were more contemporary subject with that type of technique it might be really interesting.

I love these, for their classical and beautiful style. I understand what Jessica is saying here but I dont think that these need to be modernised into a contemporary style.
The muted colours and soft almost romantic appeal is quite lovely.
