hi-
i like it here!]
i have a desk like the red one- but it's ugly gray. what paint do you suggest i use to get the delicious look you have here with the red?
thanks!

the desk actually belongs to alyson fox (see link above), but she mentions in the post that it came that color (a bright orange metal).
i'm sure you could try a similar paint color topped with poly for a similar shiny effect.

I have one also but it is in black. never seen it in delicious red like this.
Thanks for collecting the Sneak Peeks in one place. I love checking out other people's homes... and this just facilitates that!
I"m glad you like the desk. It is the actual color of the metal. I took a drawer to Sherwin williams to match the paint color( We are doing our cabinets in the kitchen that color..I think), but it came out a bit more brown, but still a nice red/orange color. Feel free to e-mail me if you want the color breakdown. alyson@alysonfox.com.
The last few posts are so beautiful design sponge! I love your blog so much!!! I'm trying to find a really lovely cooler for holding a small amount of food in the hea...any ideas?
Um about painting a desk from "Rose" you might want to consider using a melamine paint. the problem is it is difficult to acheive the color with melamine. YOu need to find a couple of products that will adhere to a veneer depending on th materials your current grey desk is made from. If it's metal you'll be fine with metal paint.
That red is awesome.

Wow, I look away for a minute, wrap it all up to go and have (elective) surgery and come back to see a kitchen discussion! I'm late to the party as usual, have a lot of catching up to do here! :-) Kitchens are my world and now I have some great reading here. I'll bet the ideas are creative with a capital C!
LOVE putting all the sneak peaks in one spot.
Just stopping in to let you know I've put you on my blogroll, since I think what you do here is pretty phenomenal.
Keep up the good work!
wow, this blog is amazing. i'm obsessed with yellow for my kitchen and somewhere between benjamin moore's lightening bug and delightful yellow. i love that photo of the yellow kitchen and wondered if you happen to know the paint color.
