jennifer cecere

artist jennifer cecere sent over a link to her beautiful work this weekend. based in new york, jennifer has shown her work at the museum of modern art, the cooper-hewitt, the palm beach institute of contemporary art and the addison gallery of american art so i'm thrilled to post her work here today. my favorite area of jennifer's work is her collection of mandalas. she describes these pieces as, "[beginning] with images recalled from childhood. drawn with sharpie markers onto translucent fabric and painted with watercolor washes. cut out like paper dolls, and arranged onto lace circles creating a kaleidoscope of color and shapes." i was smitten with them immediately and couldn't resist sharing them here- i hope you'll enjoy her full collection of work. just click here to check out more samples and to contact jennifer.
