megan bogonovich

susan at artstream studios sent over some beautiful new work from artist megan bogonovich. a graduate of the university of montana and the maryland institute of art, megan creates beautiful ceramic pieces that "question the safety of the environments and relationships we create." i love the juxtaposition of smooth porcelain with the textured growths that come out of dogs and baby heads. a bit disturbing perhaps, but endlessly fascinating for me. you can view more of megan's work right here at artstream (and shop online) or right here at her etsy shop. [thanks susan!]

so bizarre and amazing at the same time. I really love how abstract and figurative this work can be.

Those are amazing. They remind me of the evil garden illustrations of Edward Gorey.
