swoon

i'm totally late to the game with this one but i'm seriously addicted to this photo from the book at home with color (ryland peters & small, 2006). can you imagine how happy you'd be to bounce up and down these stairs every day? i don't think you could help but start the day with a smile. I love this. How awesome is it? I just wish I had some stairs. And a house....

Doesn't it look fantastic against the white wall - ditto the stairs and the house!

Wow! I keep debating whether or not our stairs should have a runner, but when I see photos like this I wonder why I haven't installed one already!

Any tips on suppliers for fun runners like this one?

hehe, funny marisa.

The only thing I wish were different about this photo is the banister. Am I wrong in thinking it should have been white as well? Or perhaps navy blue...

I can see why you love this photo! The colors are gorgeous. I love the way they have the guts to paint the staircase area fuschia! That runner is so perky. Is this the London home of the couple who owns the Rug Company? I think I remember seeing it from a spread on their home.

I suddenly realized why this runner makes me feel nostalgic — it looks like the old-fashioned ribbon candy I'd get at Christmas. Very cool touch!

I've tried to get hold of that rug for months. I think it's made by Cath Kidston and I saw it last winter in another spread somewhere. Oh, the pain of livin' in the US of A!

Dash and Albert rug company offers some fun, colorful, runners. I think they can be ordered custom lengths.
