beds + bedding guide

i've gone a bit guide crazy lately so i promise i'll be taking a break for a few weeks, but until then, i've put together a guide to beds and my favorite bedding. i've also compiled a little landing page for all the guides i've done so far (desks, dining chairs, sofas). i've been jonesing for a new bed lately (the red iron bed is on my wish-list) so i figured i'd share my hunt in guide form. i covered sleigh beds, upholstered beds, 4-poster beds, low beds, storage beds and many more. just click here to check them all out. and, need a little bedding to go with it? i've compiled my favorite (colorful) options right here. hope you enjoy!

I'm dying to try a do-it-yourself upholstered headboard (for a queen sized bed). Any tips on good guides to follow for this type of project?

Thanks!

that lublin day bed is perfect in the spirit of the early moderns. minimal, functional, and just a wee bit clinical. all those early chaise longues were about promoting healthfulness. i love the little hideaway cubby hole for naptime reading. but $6000! egads.

The black and white bed cloth forces me to fall in love with itself.

Design sponge, I just love your style. Our tastes are somehow quite similar.

I'm from Turkye, by the way.
Best wishes.

Claire,
I have all the materials for this DIY headboard project from apartmenttherapy
http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/ny/081505/how-to/how-to-build-your-own-headboard-003559

I just have to make the time to put it together! I even custom ordered fabric from a local designer to make it unique, but all of the wood, foam, etc. sits under my bed waiting for me . . .

Great bed ideas...why does it seem like everything links to House and Garden's website now.

i link to HG whenever i've written or created content there. there have been 5 or so links to the site in the last few weeks which isn't a very high percentage compared to the number of links on the site.

did you mention the tate bed at crate and barrel? unfortunately, it only comes in two stock colors now, but it's cheaper than a lot of the beds here and super cozy...
