miss martha

i've come a long way since my first reading of martha stewart's blueprint magazine. it's gone from a magazine i barely read to probably my favorite book on the market right now. and this month's spread of beds and bedding is a perfect example of why. they mixed together a wide range of options for every price range and of course, shot them beautifully. i think when i die heaven to me will be decorated by martha stewart's stylists. you can read the bed story online right here but i suggest picking up the sept/oct 2007 issue for the full sized photos. the spread on "living with a guy" is fantastic if, like me, you really have to avoid girlyville. [thanks, katy!]

That shot with the orange throw.. I'd be inviting all sorts of random people into my bedroom if it looked like that, it's perfect.

i know! if my house looked like any of these i'd be having people over 24/7. also, i'd probably be working as a stylist at MSO. ;)

their staff is incredible when it comes to putting these shots together.

I just love the " yellow " bedroom, i really like the effects of the light green color on the wall and the yellow of the bed. Everything is decorated in so much detail, its just perfect !

my husband surprised me with a subscription to blueprint...i had no idea that he did it and i got the mail last night and it was in the mail box! i ran in the house and was doing some crazy thing (i don't remember, i was super excited) and he was like "geez, all i have to do is buy you a magazine and you'll be happy?" and i told him that he didn't understand, this is BLUEPRINT magazine. so then he went on to tell me that he bought me a domino subscription as well! AWESOME!

all night i was showing him photos and exclaiming "look at this!" "isn't this nice?!" and then i saw lotta's house and almost died. i guess i can't quite explain what blueprint does to my emotions, but it sends me to cloud 9 every time i open it up, even if i've read it 5 times already.

(oh yeah, and the artwork in the yellow bedroom is to die for, isn't it? their stylists are just phenomenal.)

i feel the same way about blueprint! i guess the editorial changes they made early on have had a positive effect.

i think i spent about 15 solid minutes just staring at that yellow bedroom when i first flipped through the issue. LOVE. IT.

I am so glad to know that I'm not the only one madly devoted to Blueprint. When they posted on their BlueLines blog that the Sept/Oct issue was on newsstands this week, I could hardly contain my excitement or continue focusing on work.
Bedding aside, how excited are you all to make Manchego Sourdough mini grilled cheese sandwiches a la the Cocktail party planner?

i'm loving this mag too, i subscribed as a charter subscriber and got a deal (which is important since it's sooo expensive to subscribe from Canada)
this bed spread is so inspiring, it really looks like something i could do at home with things i have, and vary with mood and season.

Being already overloaded on glossy subscriptions, at first I was trying to resist subscribing to Blueprint. But it is just too perfect! I ended up stalking it at Borders, checking weekly to see if there was a new issue yet-even though I know it only comes out every few months. I think its tied with Domino for my favorite magazine.

I was underwhelmed with their first issue as well, but it has stedily gotten better. The spread on Lotta Jansdotter made me happy as well as the art work in the yellow bedroom...I love the corn!!

I too love the styling in this magazine but doesn't anyone else think it's too thin for a magazine that's quarterly?
