paola serrao
i'm loving these beautiful illustrations of european cities and architecture by artist paola serrao. i spend a summer abroad in college and took a class in london doing work just like this- thankfully paola's turned out much better than my own- she's got the perfect combination of line and color. i love the bold dashes of orange and red. paola ships from europe so you can shop online right here- the average price per illustration is $150-$300. [thanks, paola!]

i love these!! they remind me a bit of matisse...
oh, i love those illustrations!
If you like her drawings, I think you'd love Anna-Louise Felstead's work. She's a reportage artist who draws and paints on location with whatever she has in her bag. www.alfelstead.com She often has a stall at Portobello Road market, for those of you who are in London.

they are so lovely.
has a unique style i guess.
the way she colors some parts and leaves others makes the illustrations so different i guess
Oh! That's my hometown in the the third picture from the top (Bergen, Norway)! How funny :)
Love the illustrations :)
I love these! The contrast of the black and white with the touch of bold colors is wonderful.
