ikea sneak peek
ikea emailed the press today to give everyone a little glimpse into ikea 2007. i was pretty impressed with a few key pieces of the collection, name the textiles and upholstered furniture. my favorite? the green upholstered kramfors sofa that ac i considered getting in leather last year. looks classy with the silver legs and much better than those round peg leg couches ikea normally deals in. in addition, they'll be introducing some great rugs, a new storage unit, some more scandinavian lighting and a great folding table. looks like 2007 will be a good year for ikea. i'll be sure to update when we have store dates for these pieces. i hope that green sofa comes out soon...

they have already dropped some of there new items in europe and my bfriend and i have a FABULOUS new black and white 100 percent wool rug that we are both in love with.
My sister has the leather version in her house with two five yr olds and two cats, it is indestructible, although not cozy in that mushy, catch-your-fall kind of way. The side angles are still good for lounging though. It definitely would need some cushy throw pillows.
They're actually already out in Paramus--I saw these things a couple of weeks ago when I was there! There are definitely some great pieces this time around--I think the PS collection gave them a shot in the arm.
The green sofa looks okay but whenever I am in the IKEA and see all of the couches that are out for people to 'test' they just don't seem to hold up the way quality furniture does. For almost $800 for the leather version, you aren't that far off from actually buying a quality furniture piece elsewhere.
do you have any more info on the red table? (dimensions, etc.)

Has anybody ever tried to modify their Ikea sofa cushions to make them a litlle more welcoming (aka squishy?)I like a to sink a little but I love the sofa a lot.

yes, these are all from ikea. hence the post title. these won't be out in the us until 2007, per the press release they sent us. they may be out abroad, so you could check and see if someone from europe could buy and send them to you if you'd like.
