ahhh....long weekends

3

welcome back everyone, i hope all of you who were able to take monday off had a lovely long weekend. aaron and i were deliciously lazy and did very little. i just wanted to thank everyone out there who has taken the time to enter my little diy contest (which is not so little anymore). i am so excited and so impressed with all of the entries and can't wait to see how it turns out. so please please, enter! and pass it along to all your crafty and talented friends who may not know about the contest. so..thanks again everyone- keep em coming!

in other news, im positively in love with these gorgeous wire sculptures from milanese sculptor benedetta mori ubaldini. designboom had some great coverage of her work and i just had to scoop it up. thanks so much to designboom for their consistently amazing coverage of european design. (pictures from db). click here for more info.

editor's note: ac suggested i start a design version of project runway called "project woodshop". lol. wouldn't that be the best?

I saw them first at the Pitti Filati show last July, where they had them in the trend area.....totally cool, they were wrapped with amazing beautiful and inspiring knits.....the had a whole zoo, the theme was one animal dressed up in the coat of another animal....awesome!!!
