when sprouse met louis xv....

index

did you ever have one of those crazy crazy small world moments? well, i just did. nathan from disfugure::san francisco just contacted me and thought i might like the cool antique meets mod chairs they design for retail and contract interiors. funny you should ask, nathan....when ac and i were in san francisco (i miss the weather so much), he was trying on a pair of pants at riley james and was like "that's a fabulous chair! and hey! that's knoll's sprouse fabric!". i took a pic and planned on posting it but it's been sitting in my "pending" folder for a few weeks now. i work with knolltextiles so i'm familiar with the fabric, but i thought just in case you guys weren't, this is a cool twist on an old staple. you can find disfigure's furniture at the future perfect in brooklyn and swallowtail in sf. (furniture also comes upholstered in paul smith fabric)

LOVed that idea. i did a more 'retro' thing with my louis chair though- re-upholstered an old chair with turquoise and gold versace silk fabric and spray painted the edges gold for the 'rock-chick' effect;p
