made studio

luxbarheader

portland's made studio was kind enough to give d*s readers a little tip off about a great new piece they have coming out at icff this summer in conjunction with the talented esque design studio. made studio's lux bar has storage room for your favorite spirits and mixers as well as specialized compartments for condiments and accessories. an interior cork-lined shelf doubles as a mixing surface while the inside door storage showases your favorite glassware. as it that was enough, each piece is made to order and handcrafted in either walnut or wihte oak with an additional lower shelf for bottles and glasses. very cool stuff. click here for more from made studio and be sure to check them out at icff this summer. thanks, bo! [ps: if you're looking for some good music this morning, check out john in the morning on kexp. he's on fire this morning. nothing like starting the day with a good new pornographers song. i can't get enough ac newman]

Gorgeous! Although I'd loved to have seen a lot more room for glassware. My problem when I have a party is, I have no bar and usually just mix drinks on a table and put out all my glasses (that were in a kitchen cabinet) on the table, but it takes up a lot of surface area, cause you can't stack wine/cocktail glasses...

Oh, I love it. Coincidentally, I'm looking for a small bar to house my wine, spirits, and glassware. I like this but there's no place for the wine bottles - I suppose I could put a rack on the bottom shelf. But more unfortunate is that I fear the price may be out of my budget. Oh well. The hunt for the perfect piece continues.
