have a seat
german designer mareika gast is constantly producing innovative and thought-provoking furniture and product designs. one of her latest pieces, the do-it-yourself flower chair is focused on the connection someone has to an object when they play a part in its creation. marieka's chair utilizes used magazines (what a great way to recycle!) to make seating. the piece comes in little flower bundles that can be arranged by the user. click here for more info. great work, mareika!

Ya know those lightweight folding chairs that are used for large functions? And how you position your posterior gently so as not to flip over? I might take a similar action with these.
Very beautiful though!
Lovely!
A ridiculous piece of seating. Would make a better table base.
Wow. Looks about as comfy as a stack of milk crates.
well, pretty milk crates at least.

I think this is a great idea. Lots of seating isn't comfortable for the long haul but works well for occasional uses. For example this would be great for parties. I love the flower-like composition.
