rockin'
minnesota's blu dot design is launching a fun little rocker version of their popular buttercup chair. set to debut at this year's icff, the rocker will be available in white oak, grey oak and walnut. click here for more info on blu dot and check them out at icff in may. enjoy! [it's nice outside so this is it for me today, no more computer time while it's nice!]

This rocker looks really cool, but really uncomfortable. It seems as though modern furniture lacks the cushy-ness needed, but at the same time, you don't want your grandmothers couch. Maybe you could post some things from icff that look great and would be comfortable to plop down with a cup of tea and a movie. Just a thought.
i'll keep my eyes peeled, though i'll be to be honest, most of the icff design i've seen previews of doesn't really look too comfy. i don't think most high design is geared towards a comfy nap with tea these days. but i'll keep looking ;)

From the front the design looks clean and solid. From the back - based on the chair on the bludot website - the design has room for improvement.
As far as comfort goes. It's better to sit in it first then to critique it. You may surprise yourself. Many chairs which lack cushions don't always need them.
If anything you can always throw a cool looking cushion to compensate.
