Why are all the design blogs hawking a CARDBOARD cat-scratcher that costs $165?!?!? They don't LAST any longer than the ones that cost $8.00 at Trader Joes. This should be a how-to project for making your own. Anyone who would by this is a fool.

design blogs tend to talk about things that look nice. i happen to think this looks nice. i'm a big fan of window shopping for diy inspiration and this is a great example. thankfully there's no law saying anyone has to buy it, so you can calm down now.
