furniture forward chicago

ht1

i missed the furniture forward show in chicago but while looking through their list of designers showing at the event i was stunning by some of the work. designer sandra capasso produced a gorgeous series of modular bookshelves that really let the beauty of the wood shine through. i also really enjoyed jonathan martin's bench and heather trosdahl's handmade work. truly stunning. click here for more information on the exhibitors at the furniture forward show. enjoy!

Nice bench, looks like an homage to a dining table designed by anthony barone in the fifties.

It is nice... also has echoes of George Nelson's Platform bench.

It's nice... It's a homage... It's got echos galore... It looks like ( fill in the blank's) design from the 50's.

Is there anything TRULY original out there?
