marc newson at the gagosian gallery

kristina sent over a link to the new marc newson show at the gagosian in nyc. the show started in january and ends tomorrow so if you're in town be sure to swing by this weekend. but for those of us who can't attend, i wanted to share this beautiful "voronoi shelf (white)" made of white carrara marble that will be on display. i bet it's even lovelier in person...click here for more info on the show.

not sure that it's actually for sale but i'm guessing upwards of 5k? or maybe way more. carrara marble is really expensive.

I would say that well upwards of $50K is more accurate. This is the same guy who designed the Lockheed Lounge (sprawled on by Madonna in a video) which sold at around $1M at auction. This is probably a one of a kind or highly limited edition piece that is going to sell in the six figures.
